I can't do that," why doesn't Bush reply,
"Senator Kerry can you explain to America why it is that you think that you can't legislate in a way that is consistent with your article of faith that teaches you that abortion is murder, but you do think that you can legislate in a way that is consistent with somebody else's article of faith that teaches that abortion is the removal of unwanted tissue? Senator, could you explain from what dank corner an elected official pulls the kind of utter nonsense that finds them saying that 'they can't push their private convictions in the public square' all the while brazenly pushing what are presumably the private convictions of somebody elses in the public square? I mean Senator, I am assuming, that somebody somewhere privately holds the convictions that you are trying to legislate. I am hopeful Senator that you are not trying to legislate articles of faith to which absolutely nobody holds. Do tell America Senator, why it is that your article of faith isn't worth contending for in the public square but the baby killers article of faith is worthy of your support."

If you are not legislating according to the articles of faith from the Catholic, Protestant, Agnostic, Jewish, or Atheist tradition just who in the hell's tradition are you legislating from? You have constantly reminded America what an intelligent man you are Senator. In all your intelligence you really don't think in your legislation concerning abortion you are legislating according to articles of faith that nobody holds to, do you? If you understand this then why their articles of faith and not yours Senator?"
