Will this be reported on ABC?

Here's a snip from Rod Martin's site:

In a report which might alternately be termed "stunning" or "terrifying", United Nations weapons inspectors confirmed last week not merely that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, but that he smuggled them out of his country, before, during and after the war. Late last week, the UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) briefed the Security Council on Saddam's lightning-fast dismantling of missile and WMD sites before and during the war. UNMOVIC executive chairman Demetrius Perricos detailed not only the export of thousands of tons of missile components, nuclear reactor vessels and fermenters for chemical and biological warheads, but also the discovery of many (but not most) of these items -- with UN inspection tags still on them -- as far afield as Jordan, Turkey and even Holland.

I suspect Martin is right... we'll hear very little about this. Wouldn't want to say anything that made our choice to go to war seem the least bit justifiable.

This post certainly caught my attention, and I immediately did some research on it. I read the report from the UN archives, and it seems Rod Martin's article is extremely misleading and inaccurate.

In during further research, I found an actual blog entry from another site that outlines all of the differences I noticed between the article and the report, as well as many other differences i had not initially caught.

The UN report can be found here.

The blog entry that outlines the differences can be found here.

I, too, doubt we're going to hear too much about this because the findings aren't as significant as they are being made out to be by Rod Martin and others putting a misleading spin on it.

I encourage every one to do your own research when you read or see articles like this, regardless of your stance on the war or other matters.

It's true there won't be many stories on it right now, but that's because Rod's breaking news is old news - I read about this in the Chicago Tribune and NY Times a couple of weeks ago.
